Well. I have to admit it. If I have choose ONE period of the year that I love the most, it will have to be the autumn. Especially this time in late August. The weather is still warm even though the mornings can be crispy cool. The school starts over with a new school bag, new books, and new pencils. And the garden and the forest is filled with gifts from the nature; berries, vegetables, fruit and mushrooms.
Soon it will be time to plant the tulip and daffodil bulbs to prepare for the spring and then put the garden to sleep. It will also be time to light candles on the table and curl up in the sofa with a cup of warm tea and a cozy blanket.
So. Here's my tribute to autumn, and a few favorites that just might end up in my shopping basket soon...
